Dice Chucker
Set your dice count, types, colors, and sizes, then chuck them all at once — sort the results and reroll by your own rules.
How to use
- Your Dice at the top of the page always shows your current dice — even before your first roll — so you can see exactly what you're about to chuck. Chuck! and Reset live right there too.
- Pick how many dice you want with the − / + buttons or a preset chip (1–12, or type further up to 20 with the stepper) under How Many Dice?.
- Each die gets its own row under Colors, Types & Sizes — tap the color dot to open a swatch picker, use the dropdown to set that die's type (d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, or d100), and tap S / M / L to size it. Use Set all types or Set all sizes to change every die at once, or Randomize Colors for a quick shuffle. Mix and match freely — roll a d20 next to a handful of d6s in the same chuck.
- Tap Chuck! to roll every die at once, each one tumbling to its own final number.
- Tap any die in the results to select it (a gold ring or glow appears) — tap again to deselect. Selection is independent of sort order.
Dice types
Every standard tabletop die is supported: d4 (triangle), d6 (square), d8 (diamond), d10 (pentagon), d12 (hexagon), d20 (octagon), and d100 (percentile, 1–100). Each shape is a quick visual cue for which type you're looking at. Every die shows its rolled number directly on the face — matching real D&D-style polyhedral sets, which print numerals on every die (including the d6) rather than pips.
Sorting the results
Once you've rolled, use the Sort row to reorder the dice on screen: Original (roll order), Number, Color, Color → Number (grouped by color, then ordered by number within each color), or Number → Color (ordered by number first, ties broken by color). The Low → High / High → Low button flips the direction for any number-based sort. Sorting only changes the display — it never changes which die is which.
Rerolling by your own rules
The quick-select buttons under Select Dice to Reroll highlight matching dice without rolling them yet, so you can build the exact set you want: Select 1s, Select Max (whatever the top face is for each die — 6 on a d6, 20 on a d20, and so on), Select Lowest, or Select Highest pick by number; the color chips below (one per color currently in play, each showing how many dice have it) pick by color. You can also just tap individual dice by hand to fine-tune the selection.
Once you're happy with the selection, tap Reroll Selected to re-chuck only those dice, or Reroll All to start the whole roll over. Clear Selection deselects everything without rolling. This covers common house rules — reroll all 1s, reroll a specific color, reroll the lowest die — without the app needing to hard-code any single rule.
